How clay is fired determines many of its end-product qualities – including color, translucency, opaqueness, iridescence, crackling in the glaze…. The firing techniques I use are the electric kiln, pit fire and raku. Depending upon the nature of a ceramic work’s intended use, I will select a firing technique to achieve a specific result.
